The City of Marshall has several boards and commissions that are composed of volunteers from the community that each have a different purpose. All boards and commissions play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the city.
Board terms are three years and may be reappointed at the end of their term at the discretion of the Mayor and City Council. Meetings are typically held on a set monthly schedule, but some may meet more or less frequently depending on need. Typically, membership on boards and commissions is limited to City of Marshall residents, but some allow outside community members to play a role.
If you have a willingness to voluntarily serve your community in this capacity and have a particular interest or knowledge, please contact the City Clerk’s Office. To learn more about a specific board or commission, the agenda packets and meeting minutes can be found on the website. In some instances, there is a webpage that provides information also.
