THE BUDGET PROCESS

 

The proposed budget for fiscal year 2006-2007 was presented to City Council on April 5, 2006.  Work sessions were held on Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13 in the Council Chamber at Town Hall, 323 West Michigan Avenue, Marshall beginning at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Following Council work sessions, on Monday, May 15 City Council set a public hearing for final adoption of the 2006-2007 budget on June 5, 2006.  At the regular meeting of City Council on June 5, 2006 a public hearing was held to receive comments from citizens and taxpayers before taking action on the proposed budget. Citizen input was welcome at any time during this process.
