As of Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 3:30pm the boil water advisory has been cancelled.  All samples taken from the 100 block of W. Michigan Ave. were negative for bacteria.

During our repairs to the water system on Monday April 23, 2012 it was necessary to shut down the water main on the 100 block of W. Michigan Ave.  Since the pressure was dropped to zero it is possible that contamination could occur from sources out of our control.  To protect the citizens of Marshall it is necessary to issue a boil water advisory to ensure that the water is safe to drink.  Samples taken on Monday take 24 hours to incubate.  Once the results of those samples are cleared we lifted the advisory.  We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter and we continue to serve the community with their best interests in mind.  If you have any questions or concerns you may call the Water Department at 269-781-2210 or email aambler@cityofmarshall.com.
