Our mission as a City government is to continually enhance Marshall’s unique quality of life by providing quality municipal services to our citizens through efficient use of resources.

Marshall’s unique character and stable economic base is largely due to more than a century of collective visioning of its citizens, leaders and City staff. In order to meet the challenges of changing economic times, Marshall’s City Council developed the following vision statement to provide direction and focus for the next decade:

Marshall 2013 is a growing city with historic charm where diverse, highly trained people of all ages come to live and work.

In order to reach this vision, we recognize that our Council, administrators, and staff must execute the following:

• Create an environment that will attract and retain diverse, high-skill, high-wage employees of all ages.

• Support initiatives that build and sustain a vibrant, healthy and diverse industrial, business, commercial, & retail base.

• Provide superior, yet affordable, City services and utilities, including the latest technologies.
